National Awards

Enter 2011 work done for print, radio, television or online (including photography) in the categories of Unlimited Subject Matter or Asian American and Pacific Islander issues.

Dr. Suzanne Ahn Award for Civil Rights and Social Justice

This award recognizes excellence in the coverage of civil rights of Asian American and Pacific Islanders and/or issues of social justice for AAPIs. The winner will receive $5,000.

AAJA Gannett Foundation Award for Innovation in Watchdog Journalism

This award recognizes groundbreaking work by a journalist or a team that creatively uses digital tools in the role of being a community’s watchdog. The winner will receive $5,000.
